Gwindel Quartz & Hematite
Here is clear smoky gwindel quartz on matrix from the French Alps. This big specimen comes from a unique find with smoky quartz and hematite near the Talèfre glacier. This combination is not very common in the Mont-Blanc mountains. Some of the best specimens of this find are visible at the Chamonix mineralogy museum. The gwindel is very lustrous with undamaged points. Some hematite roses are visible on the back.
