Gwindel Quartz – Val Giuv, Switzerland

Here is a well twisted gwindel on matrix with a darker smoky color. The gwindel has a crack on its lower part. Since the crack was filled with chlorite when I got it, I assume it’s natural. Except this fissure, not very visible, the gwindel is damageless and stands perfectly on its matrix. The Giuv Valley is a locality well-known for its world-class smoky quartz specimens.
