Smoky Quartz – Mont-Blanc, France

Bi-terminated smoky quartz crystal perfectly placed on a well-sized granite matrix plate. A great example of the alpine mineralogy that can be found on the steep slopes of the Mont-Blanc mountains. The main crystal itself is 35 mm.
