Amethyst scepter – Les Droites, Mont-Blanc
Here is a damageless amethyst scepter on its matrix. While many amethysts from this locality are very pale, this one has a shows a beautiful purple color and a nice constrast with its smoky quartz matrix. Amethyst is a scarce mineral in the Alps mountains, especially in the Mont-Blanc area. This specimen was found by the famous crystal seeker Christophe Peray.
