Fluorite & Smoky Quartz

In 2016, B. Bouillanne and S. Dan made an impressive discovery in the Mont-Blanc mountains (Arête du Moine, Aiguille Verte). While we all know about alpine pink fluorite and its rarity, they had just found a cleft with smoky quartz associated with purple fluorite cubes ! Purple fluorite is extremely rare in this area. This specimen is a floater and shows some fluorite cubes on a fully recrystallized quartz blades cluster

  • Size : 121 mm x 76 mm x 50 mm (The fluorite cube itself is 8mm)
