Here is a large pink fluorite specimen found during the summer 2015 near the Argentière glacier, in the Mont-Blanc massif. The dark “raspberry” pink color is pretty unusual and remembers the Mongolian pink fluorites. Size : 45 mm x 40 mm x 37 mm

Fluorite & Smoky Quartz

Rare purple fluorite cubes on smoky quartz matrix. The specimen is a floater and it’s fully crystallized. Purple fluorite is extremely hard to find in the Mont-Blanc. This one comes from a unique find during the summer 2016. The fluorite cube itself is 8mm. Size: 121mm x 76mm x 50mm

Fluorite & Smoky Quartz

Two reddish color fluorite octahedrons on matrix covered with smoky quartz. This specimen comes froma  recent find in the Mont-Blanc. This dark pink color is very sought after by alpine minerals collectors. The octahedrons have some internal cleavages but they’re damageless. Size: 140 mm x 96 mm x 70 mm

Gwindel Quartz

Well twisted smoky quartz from the French Alps. Also found during summer 2015, tis specimen shows minor ankerite on its points. The clearer twist axis is well visible in the middle of the gwindel. Size: 60 mm x 50 mm x 23 mm

Classic prehnite, epidote and adularia association from the gneiss quarries at Arvigo, Switzerland. Lustrous and translucent, helmet-shaped, pastel-green prehnite crystals. The adularia covered matrix is richly sprinkled with gemmy, acicular, olive-green epidote crystals. Collecting is now forbidden at the quarries. Size: 75 mm x 67 mm x 35 mm

Gwindel Quartz

Shalman Area, Khyber Agency, (FATA), Pakistan

This gwindel comes from a small find in the Shalman area mountains. Only a handfull of these came out. The interesting fact is that these quartz were lightly smoky. Smoky gwindels are pretty uncommom in Pakistan. It has some minor damages on its edges and it’s quite mily but shows a good luster.
