Fluorite

Les Droites (South Face), Mont Blanc Massif, Chamonix, France

This specimen comes from a unique find in 2015. It’s a scarce pink fluorite crystal, with complex crystallization, on its matrix. This shape is very unusual in the Mont-Blanc and it may be the first time that we see this kind of crystallization from this locality.  It’s interesting to note that similar pink fluorites were found in Peru and Pakistan.
